The AMVETS Department of South Carolina is proud to serve fellow veterans and their communities. There are a variety of different activities...
The Department of South Carolina has long been involved with providing support for veterans and the active military in procuring their earned entitlements. We are proud to be part of one of the largest Congressionally chartered Veterans Service organizations in the United States.
For almost 70 years, AMVETS has served our veterans and their families. Our history of giving back to our local communities is long and strong. With our 5 posts and 1300 members in the state, we gladly join with the 1400 posts and 200,000 members in the AMVETS national family.
AMVETS Department of South Carolina provides a variety of services to veterans and their communities. AMVETS members are not alone in their community efforts and are joined by the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary and Sons of AMVETS. We strongly support the VA effort to provide extended care services to enrolled veterans and promote legislation to improve VA response to the needs of veterans, both old and young.
